The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and benefits administration within the organization for Canada and the US. This role involves managing employee compensation, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, administering employee benefits programs, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
**What You Will Do**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Time review in time log entry system (TCM)
- Entering and maintaining employee records in Ceridian Dayforce and Time Clock Manager
- Calculate and process payroll, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
- Review payroll documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Filing physical employee records
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Coordinate with benefit providers to ensure accurate and timely administration.
- Pulling reports from Ceridian Dayforce
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee benefits data.
- Assist with audits related to payroll and benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Communicate payroll and benefits policies and procedure changes to employees.
- Collaborate with HR team members on various projects and initiatives.
**What You Bring**
Your education and experience include:
- Diploma or certificate in Payroll & Benefits or related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in payroll administration and benefits coordination.
- USA payroll experience is an asset.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing procedures, tax regulations, and benefits administration for Canada and the US.
- Detail-orientated and strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to prioritize and meet conflicting deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite, with strong MS Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft NAV, TCM, Ceridian Dayforce is an asset.
- Great attitude with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
