**Accounting Assistant**

**Responsibilities**
- Organize accounting and tax documents in preparation for monthly and year-end work
- Liaise with clients to ensure they provide documents and information in a timely fashion
- Base data entry and updating, retrieval of tax information
- Handle day-to-day accounting office duties

**Qualifications**
- Formal education or training in Accounting or a related field of study
- 5 - 10 years' of experience working in an accounting office, specifically dealing with workflow and associated support for bookkeepers and accountants
- Knowledge of the accounting work cycle and associated information requirements
- Knowledge of tax document types and purposes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, helpful client manner
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills

Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
