**THE ROLE**
The Non Public Property Accounting Manager plans, organizes, and manages the delivery of base accounting services and programs. They provide advice and interpretation on Non Public Funds (NPF) accounting and Non Public Property (NPP) administrative policies to managers and senior military officers. They notify and report any unusual trends/activities to senior managers for further investigation.
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**
College diploma or certificate in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field AND several years of experience in accounting, or a related field
Accounting designation such as Certified General Accountant (CGA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Accountant (CA), an asset
**Experience**
In planning, organizing, and delivering accounting services
In providing finance and accounting related advice
In personnel administration
In budget administration
In planning and conducting presentations
In the preparation of financial statements and analysis
**Knowledge**
Of general business practices and theories
Of accounting practices and theories
Of provincial and federal tax legislation
Of time management techniques
Of analytical techniques and theories
Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**
