CMHA Ontario in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs operates Agriculture Wellness Ontario, a suite of programs that bring mental health education, counselling services and enhanced community support to agricultural communities across the province.

**In the Know** is a mental health literacy program designed specifically for farmers, their families and those who are involved and/or support the agriculture sector. Through this free, four-hour workshop, participants will cover the topics of stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, suicide and how to start a conversation around mental well-being.

**Job Summary**

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a **Program Coordinator - In the Know.** This position works with the agricultural community to promote and deliver mental health programming and resources with a special focus on the In the Know program. A key piece of this work involves face to face meetings and participation in agricultural events across the province.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Deliver In the Know and associated mental health workshops across Ontario, according to expectations, while ensuring effective and appropriate training delivery.
- Deliver outreach presentations at agricultural events, regional forums, conferences, workshops, and symposia.
- Respond to CMHA branch and training requests.
- Contribute to outreach and promotion plans to engage rural and agriculture stakeholders.
- Assist in training CMHA branch facilitators across Ontario to deliver In the Know.
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of communications strategies, materials, activities, and educational resources for In the Know.
- Partner with Communications to share training activity updates with stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination, mailing coordination, and other projects as needed.
- Lead evaluation and survey collection efforts and send collected survey reports and any participant feedback to the Senior Manager, Agriculture Wellness Ontario.
- Produce program updates and reports, as requested, on In the Know activities.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance measures, including evaluation practices, and suggest improvements in consultation with CMHA Ontario’s Quality Improvement team and the Senior Manager, Agriculture Wellness Ontario.
- Manage and keep up to date a stakeholder database that contains key contact and course information, and leverage this database for ongoing promotions, engagement, and program evaluation.
- Support CMHA branch staff in logistics planning for In the Know workshops.
- Track training events and participants; report training activities to the Senior Manager, Agriculture Wellness Ontario.
- Attend regular meetings of the In the Know and CMHA Ontario teams.

**Skill-Based Competencies**
- Education: Degree or diploma in social work, community work, psychology, public health or a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds to build trust and rapport.
- Interpersonal Skills: Experience building relationship and working collaboratively colleagues, community members, partners and the public.
- Ethics and Boundaries: A strong understanding of professional ethics and boundaries.
- Experience developing workshop curriculum is an asset.
- Experience in training and facilitation for an adult audience, including in virtual settings, is a strong asset.
- Experience within the mental health or healthcare field is a strong asset.
- Bilingualism (in any language) is an asset.
- A valid drivers license is required.

**Working Conditions**

This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting, reading, telephone interaction, and working at the computer. This position involves some moderate lifting, shipping, and handling.
