- MTN HOUSE by Basecamp is a new luxury property added to the Basecamp Properties portfolio. MTN HOUSE has 99 newly renovated hotel rooms, an elevated fine dining restaurant and a Nordic Spa (opening July 2024). MTN HOUSE will represent a luxurious hotel, with all amenities right on location, so all guests can enjoy an experience like no other in the heart of the mountains.

Position Overview
- Join our vibrant and fast-paced coffee shop as a Takeaway Counter Attendant We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused individual to be the face of our establishment. As a Counter Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and enjoy their takeaway coffee experience. If you have a passion for coffee, love working in a dynamic environment, and thrive on delivering outstanding customer service, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
- Salary: $18-$19/hr + gratuity + bonus
- Shifts: Full-time/Permanent. Weekdays, weekends, days and evenings.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they approach the counter.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring attention to their specific preferences and dietary requirements.
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and teas, adhering to our established recipes and standards.
- Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper maintenance.
- Handle cash transactions, including accepting payments, issuing change, and providing receipts, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area, ensuring supplies are stocked, condiments are readily available, and the workspace is tidy throughout the day.
- Provide prompt service, striving to minimize waiting times for customers during busy periods.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Up-sell additional menu items, such as pastries or snacks, to enhance the customer experience and maximize sales.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest coffee trends and industry developments to continuously improve your knowledge and skills.

**Requirements**:

- Passion for coffee and a genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during peak periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service.
