Position Overview
We are seeking a First Cook to join our dynamic team at Rhythm & Howl. As a First Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious dishes to perfection, ensuring consistent quality and taste.

**Shifts**: Full-time permanent. Days, evenings, weekends. Option of working 4x 10hr shifts per week.
**Wage**: $20/hr + gratuity
Key Responsibilities
- Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
- Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
- Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area.
- Respond properly in the event of any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by kitchen or resort management.
- The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the MTN House; Base Camp Resorts and encourage staff to do the same

Skills and Experience
- Comfortable working a station line.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow recipes.
- Possess good time management skills.
- 3-5 years experience in a kitchen.
- Ability to adapt to ever changing menu.
- Able to run the line
- Experience/Ability to do the following:

- Forward bend, squat, forward reach to retrieve items from cabinets
- Repetitive forward bend of head/neck
- Lifting through height of 6" to 5'(squatting or forward bend) from dolly to refrigerator shelves
- Carrying boxes/bags of food a distance of 10 feet
- Shoulder motions below 90 degrees shoulder flexion
- Gross grasp to hold tongs, spoons
- Repetitive elbow motion in mid-range for chopping
- Repetitive wrist motions through partial range for stirring and chopping
- Lift boxes of 50 lbs.
- Lift pots of food: 25-50 lbs.
- Stir food: 5-10 lbs. of force may be needed to stir thicker consistency foods such as mashed potatoes.

**Requirements**:

- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
