- We are currently hiring an HR Manager to join our team based out of Stouffville Ontario._
People are our most important asset, and the Human Resources and Payroll department is the go-to department for all employee-related issues. They manage and maintain all activities related to job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management.
The HR Manager is a critical role to the business success and in the implementation of innovative HR approaches to deliver on the department’s requirements. This role works collaboratively with all levels in the organization to ensure compliance requirements and to maintain a productive workplace where everyone works to realize the organization’s established mission and objectives while promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide HR counsel, consultation and coaching to managers and senior leaders
- Provide leadership to Human Resources and Payroll division and coaches Business Partners regarding full range of business partner services to the organization within the HR model
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees job tasks; following up on work results
- Advise all levels of performance management issues (such as PIP/Development/Action Plans) and lead major investigations and reorganizations. Provides guidance and support for minor investigation conducted by Business Partners
- Partner with leadership and managers to provide recruitment and selection processes that builds organization capabilities to meet business objectives
- Work closely with Executives, Directors, & Manager to properly plan the deployment of benefits, performance management, compensation, talent assessment, HRIS and other HR initiatives
- Facilitates and provide support to the business during annual processes such as compensation reviews, employee development reviews (EDR) and performance management
- Conduct wage analysis based in internal & external factors, make recommendations, obtain alignment with leadership and budgetary guidelines, and execute accordingly
- Obtain, analyze and report on metrics to make suggestions to HR and business leaders
- Identify and propose solutions to improve HR practices, processes, and policies as needed
- Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting, and tasks as required with cross-functional HR / Partner teams
- Help promote K-Line Culture through employee engagement initiatives
- Immerse into the business as a whole to fully understand past/present/future state so as to foster influence and positive impact to the business
- Work with senior leaders on succession planning and career development paths
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Professional HR certification is a definite asset
- 7-10+ years of progressive Human Resources Business Partner / Generalist experience
- 7+ years of experience managing Employee Relations, developing policies and procedures, interpreting collective agreements, provincial and federal legislation, Performance Management administration
- Experience with benefits and compensation administration, Training and Development analysis and implementation
- 3-5 years experience managing a highly efficient and effective HR and Payroll team
- 5+ years designing and implementing HR programs and procedures including SOP’s, training guides and facilitating training, IT initiatives and change management processes
- Demonstrated ability to use metrics and data to inform leaders about human capital trends and areas of opportunity, and to identify and design customized programs
- Ability to consult with leaders on a variety of initiatives and objectively assess multitude of situations and present best approaches to help influence leaders’ decisions that would yield positive impacts to the business
- Pragmatic problem-solving ability and ability to make sound recommendations to the business
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong planning and organization skills is a must
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills with varying levels of employees is required
- Ability to exercise effective judgment and sensitivity to changing needs and business situations
- Intermediate to Advance computer and technology skills required (MS Office Suite, HRIS systems, IT functions)
