This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.

The Director of Tenant Engagement and Community Development will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The Director, Tenant Engagement and Community Development is accountable for the delivery of the Division’s programs related to resident engagement and community development. Leading local and corporate staff teams, the Director develops and implements the Tenant Engagement System and Community Development strategies ensuring staff have the appropriate resources and systems to carry out their responsibilities.
**What you’ll do**
**Program Development and Divisional Leadership**
- Lead the development of key tenant engagement and community development strategies and projects through the design phase before transitioning to implementation teams.
- Build strong internal relationships across divisions to enhance connectivity among them on key strategic initiatives.
- Provide opinions, advice, and recommendations relative to planning activities to the COO and Executive Leadership team.
- Establishes a program for the development of social development plans in consultation with tenants, staff and stakeholders that promotes neighbourhood safety and cohesion, economic opportunities and social inclusion
- Establishes mechanisms to ensure consistent approach and quality to services across TCHC communities.
- As a member of the Operations Senior Team, the role is jointly responsible for short and long term strategic planning of services provided to the Operations Division and promoting and supporting Divisional services through effective strategic planning, decision making, and Partnerships.
- Participates in a variety of high level sector tables, internal committees, task forces, working groups and with tenants of TCHC.
- Lead key training and capacity building plan to support tenants and staff in the roll out of the tenant engagement system.

- Designing and overseeing implementation of the TCHC Tenant Engagement model in accordance with the Shareholder Direction, Board/corporate direction and TCHC values,

- Developing and overseeing programs to support tenant participation in decision making across various areas in the corporation,
