**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**Project Context**

Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.8 million people in 20 diverse communities. The Advance Program is Fraser Health’s largest multi-year transformational program which will impact over 30,000 staff and medical staff across 13 acute care campuses.

The Advance Program seeks to improve the way Fraser Health delivers care and the way patients experience care for better outcomes. The program focuses on re-imagining the clinical workflows for greater efficiencies and coordination across providers, enabled by the new MEDITECH Expanse platform. This transformation will increase automation and provide easier access to data to gain insights for improved patient care and in support of continuous quality improvements (CQI). Currently, we are looking for a Communications and Engagement Consultant - Generalist as described in Section 2.5

**Advance Communication and Engagement Consultant - Generalist**

**Purpose of the Position**:
The Communication and Engagement Consultant will work as a key member of the Communications and Engagement team, as well as the broader Communications, Clinical Preparedness and Provider Engagement (CCPPE) workstream, to support the execution of the communications and engagement strategy and plans, and change management strategy. This position will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing site-based (hospital) communications and engagement activities directed to Fraser Health staff and medical staff at the acute care campuses where the Advance Program is going live. It will also support the clinical, technical and design workstreams across the program with communication and engagement activities that support their deliverables. Communication and engagement activities must align with the overall program timelines, scope, and expected benefits. Critically important is to ensure that all communications and engagement activities drive awareness, commitment to, and adoption of the Advance Program across Fraser Health.

The role will:

- **Lead and drive specific Communications and Engagement activities in alignment with the overall communications, engagement and organizational change management plans.** Working in alignment and collaboration with the Communications and Engagement teams, leverage change management, stakeholder impact and change readiness assessments for key insights to develop communications content and engagement activities to facilitate the movement from awareness to advocacy. Determine the best channels to achieve maximum readership and engagement. Visually represent information in an engaging way.
- **Establish and monitor effectiveness of communication and engagement efforts** and be able to pivot and adjust to ensure goals are being met.
- **Partner closely with key program team members** to ensure there is a cohesive plan in place that considers the communication and engagement needs across the entire program.
- **Ensure alignment with Fraser Health Corporate Communications standards and practices.**:

- **Other duties as directed or required to support the program.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Communication and Engagement Consultant will work directly with the Communication and Engagement Lead. They must be able to work both across and within the established program governance and delivery work streams (i.e., clinical, technical, integration and key 3rd party solution vendors) and support and lead various activities as directed to the Communications and Engagement Lead. The following highlights the key responsibilities of this role:

- **COMMUNICATION PLAN AND CONTENT DEVELOPMENT **- Support communications and engagement and OCM activities - development and implementation. This includes ensuring communications and engagement materials produced by the program consider stakeholder audience needs and help to drive advocacy for the program. Strong written and verbal competencies required.
- **QUALITY/ALIGNMENT / CONSISTENCY** - Ensure quality and consistency of communication and engagement materials and alignment with Fraser Health corporate communications standards.

**- COLLABORATIVE AND TEAM PLAYER** - Must bring successful experience in nurturing internal communication, and ability to work collaboratively with other program team members who require communication and engagement expertise and support to fulfill their own program deliverables. Must also bring experience working as a team player on large teams, and working within OCM on a large program.
- **AD-HOC SUPPORT** - Given the complexity and volume of work across all the teams, support ad-hoc requests for any communication and engagement content development in support of the program. Must be able to flex with the priorities of the program.
