Inside Sales Representative - Outbound Calls (Food Industry)
Sweets from the Earth is a high volume commercial bakery, located in North York, ON. Named one of Canada’s fastest growing companies for the 8th consecutive year, Sweets from the Earth is looking to grow its customer base within Ontario and the rest of Canada. As a proud plant-based manufacturer, we boast a reduced environmental footprint operation compared to conventional food manufacturers. We are a customer driven organization catering to Retail, Foodservice and Institutional clients. Areas of focus include Plant-based, Nut-free, Gluten-free & Sugar-free products. As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll be instrumental in expanding our reach within the Canadian market by engaging with potential clients through outbound calls and showcasing our wide range of delicious bakery products.
Overview:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Outbound Calling: Make a high volume of outbound calls to potential clients to promote our food products and generate sales leads. Upsell new products to existing customers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication, follow-ups, and providing excellent customer service.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including ingredients, sourcing, and pricing, to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
- Sales Pitching: Deliver persuasive sales pitches tailored to the needs and preferences of each prospect, highlighting the benefits of our products and services.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify sales leads through research, cold calling, and networking to expand our customer base and increase sales opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the VP, marketing department, and other departments to coordinate sales efforts and achieve sales targets.
- Sample Preparation: Assist in preparing sample packages to be delivered to prospects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food industry or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to overcome objections and close sales.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools for tracking and managing sales activities.
- Familiarity with local businesses in the food industry is a plus.
