**About the Role - HR Business Partner (North America)**

In this role you will be partnering with business leaders, providing guidance and support on a range of people-related issues. You will help to create a culture of high performance, engagement, and continuous improvement across Savanta, working closely with the HR Executive (based in the US) and the Global People Director (based in the UK).

As well as being a visible People coach to the business, you will train and coach others in the global HR teams; Savanta’s global HR team strives to be a trusted center of excellence with continuous improvement always on the agenda.

You will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. You will have a combination of business acumen, relationship building skills, strategic thinking, communication skills, analytical skills, change management skills, coaching and mentoring skills, HR expertise, flexibility, results orientation, cultural sensitivity, and ethics and integrity.

Across the US and Canada your primary goal will be to take the HR/People team from a reactive service to a valued proactive service.

**In this role you will have k**ey responsibilities for the US and Canada including but not limited to**:

- HR support for managers on people related issues (including day to day counselling, PIPs and terminations)
- Provide benefit support for employees ranging from general questions to medical leaves (STD, LTD, maternity/paternity leave)
- Manage performance management process and participate in salary benchmarking for industry
- Partner with parent company (Next15) on annual open enrolment
- Conduct new hire and benefit orientations for new employees
- Support payroll team to provide documentation for salary changes, overtime payment or other related queries
- Support the L&D team in delivering People related training and providing content for the Learning platform for all levels of Savanta employees.
- Stay updated on changing employment laws and regulations
- HR administration (HRIS management, audits and reporting, personnel and benefit filing, tax forms, mandatory state trainings for employees, etc)
- Support other HR projects and initiatives as needed
- Support the HR Executive in recruiting the best talent where required
- Support the Savanta Committees on all aspects of the people agenda where needed
- Some liaison with Deel and Boundless (Employers of Record)
- Freshdesk management (HR queries ticketing platform) ensuring queries are dealt with effectively and inline with SLAs
- Attend global HR meetings
- Be visible as the HR Business Partner to US and Canada, attending meetings as required, presenting HR updates as required, working closely with the SLT Prepare action plans in order to provide a proactive HR service, working with the Global People Director

**To succeed in this role you will have**:

- Substantial experience at HRBP level with a strong generalist HR capability dealing effectively with complex issues
- Strategic mindset, ability to plan and action, with an overarching financial understanding
- Experience of effective line management
- Experience of supporting in M&A is desirable
- Understanding of organizational development (OD) principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and understanding of the benefits of HR information systems (BambooHR and ADP)
