Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager, Employer Relations and Business Development, the Employer Relations Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Job Development staff across YWCA WorkBC sites to support Clients in achieving their goal of securing employment through connections with employers. Working with Job Development staff, the Coordinator will ensure that a targeted number of job seekers secure employment per month and will work toward strategies and project plans to market services to a targeted number of new employers per month (as directed). The Employer Relations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing that data entries for Employer and Client databases are completed on a regular basis, as well as providing coaching, training, and support to the Job Development team on Wage Subsidy services, ensuring employed targets are achieved. With the support of the centers’ Senior Operations Managers and Senior Manager, Employer Relations and Business Development, the Employer Relations Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance and support to Centre Job Developers and in achieving targets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement an annual job development plan for each of the YWCA’s WorkBC Catchments
- Support and coach job development staff to determine their Clients’ individual needs and skills to market to employers in the labour market
- Conduct and manage the schedule of one-to-one job development meetings
- Plan and lead weekly Job Search Strategy Meetings and workshops
- Liaise with employers to organize targeted hiring events and connect them with other services throughout the YWCA
- Strategize with YWCA Job Developers and Senior Operations Managers to continually improve processes and increase employment outcomes
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to job developers to ensure Clients’ and employers targets are met
- Provide training to new Job Developers and monitor progress and skills development
- Work with Job Developers on industry-specific initiative to need the needs of local labour markets
- Liaison with the Job Development team members across YWCA WorkBC Centres to ensure consistency in service and best practices are shared and implemented
- Provide progress reports as directed by the WorkBC leadership team
- Work Closely with the Quality Improvement team and the Office Managers to ensure accuracy in data entry and service delivery
- Other duties as assigned
- Adhere to onsite Health and Safety Procedures
- Adhere to CARF standards and all external regulatory bodies
- Represent the YWCA Metro Vancouver and/or WorkBC to community partners and other organizations as requested.
- Act as a champion of the program, promoting our services throughout the community and networking events.

**Qualifications**:

- 1 to 2 years experience in a supervisory role managing a small team
- Experience working across catchments/divisions is an asset
- 3-5 years’ job development, career coaching, and placement experience in a related setting
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting professional relationships with Clients and employers
- Experience in facilitation and leading career search workshops
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A demonstrated a positive attitude toward change
- Related post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid BC Driver’s license and access to a car, insured for business use
- Must be available during normal working hours Monday - Friday with the ability to work the occasional evenings and weekends
- A valid criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required
- Successful applicants are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, exemption requests must be supported by valid, legal documents.
