**Job Summary**:
In this role you will be reporting to the Manager Stakeholder Relations and Communications. In this role you will be a member of a high-performing team of professionals responsible for engaging the organization, partners, and the public to bring BCIB’s mandate to life. We help to grow and diversify BC’s skilled trades workforce by connecting people to career-building jobs through impactful content and consistent messaging. Understanding BCIB’s story is key to sharing it with a wider audience; therefore, the role involves collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders to support the development and distribution of internal and external communication materials.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- **Content Creation & Communications Materials**:_
- Responsible for supporting continued content creation and ongoing monitoring of BCIB’s online presence, including all social media channels, web pages, and other digital communications.
- Support the development and timely delivery of creative collateral to communicate BCIB’s mandate and outreach goals, including presentations, reports, abstracts, information pamphlets, posters, graphics, and social media toolkits.
- Collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders to support the planning and implementation of communications strategies for a variety of corporate, partner and stakeholder-led initiatives.
- Interview stakeholders to curate content and inform stakeholder relations.
- Assist with researching, writing, and editing a wide variety of communication products, adjusting voice for the audience.
- Support content creation by taking smartphone photos and videos as required.
- **Project Planning**:_
- Monitor project progress and identify risks, barriers and constraints to manager and work collaboratively across team to devise solutions.
- Receives and reviews communications requests.
- Coordinates the requests for, development of, and approvals process for content.
- Assist with the research, planning and coordination of media and company events in-house and in the field.
- **Administrative Duties**:_
- Responsible for the development and implementation of social media campaigns, including scheduling, monitoring, measuring, and reporting performance.
- Maintain media archives and other records.
- Sources, interviews, and negotiates with suppliers and vendors to secure creative services for the organization.
- Generate purchase requisitions to ensure proper job specifications are provided to outside suppliers and reconciles invoices against quotations.
- A willingness to work occasional evenings for special events.
- Supporting the Stakeholder and Communications team with other related projects as required.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Post
- Secondary degree or diploma in communications, journalism, broadcast media.
- A skilled communicator with two to three years related public relations or communications experience including content creation and project planning.
- Experience delivering strategic internal/external communications.
- Digital media management experience, including content creation and strategic planning for web and social media.
- Experience monitoring social media and coordinating campaigns is considered an asset.
