As a Business Development Representative at Athennian, you will be a crucial member of our marketing team, responsible for initiating the first stage of our sales process. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, you will be vital in warming up potential clients with a preliminary interest in our products/services. Your primary focus will be to engage, qualify, and develop top-funnel inbound leads to prepare them for the next steps in the sales journey.

**Responsibilities**:

- Qualify leads by identifying their interest level, budget, purchase timeline, and decision-making process.
- Nurture early-stage leads by providing them with relevant information and answering initial queries to build interest and rapport.
- Schedule product demonstrations or consultations between qualified leads and the sales team.
- Maintain detailed records of lead interactions and statuses using CRM tools.
- Collaborate with marketing to refine lead qualification processes and improve lead quality.
- Stay informed on industry trends and the competitive landscape to understand better and address leads' challenges and objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a BDR, sales associate, or similar role in a sales or customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for engaging potential clients.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Hubspot and sales engagement platforms.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a dynamic sales and marketing environment.
