Russel Metals is currently seeking an individual for the position of **Outside Sales Representative **in our **Winnipeg North, MB** location. This is a salaried, full-time, permanent position.

**As an Outside Sales Representative you will**:

- Maintain and grow sales & market share consistent with the business plan as developed in conjunction with the Sales Manager. This requires a focus on managing your time effectively with the variety of product categories as well as processing opportunities.
- As an Outside Salesperson you will manage your territory which includes a positive support of your Inside counterparts and mentorship between all internal departments.
- Further develop new and existing business through creative approaches such as presentations, product and program offerings, plant tours, etc.
- Develop and maintain existing and prospective customer relationships and act as a liaison between the customer and inside sales, operations, production, shipping etc.
- Develop sales opportunities and find new leads through methods such as cold calling, face to face meetings and networking.
- Maintain and grow relationships with both existing as well as perspective clients through regular scheduled visits using a call frequency planner.
- Assist in managing inventory by ensuring any dedicated product brought in for customers has senior management support and it’s managed in accordance with agreed upon terms with the customer.

**You and Your Experience**:

- Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years of sales experience.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with individuals from all levels of a company.
- Experience moving contracts and programs throughout all levels of a company.
- Project Management experience is considered an asset.
- Experience within a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and time managing within that environment.
