Originally formed as the Joint Traffic Committee in 1926, and later known as the Metro Toronto Transportation Conference, the GTTC is a unique forum for dialogue relating to all aspects of transportation policy, planning, operation and service provision across the GTA.
Membership in the GTTC is open to senior individuals in public or private sector transportation related organizations. The GTTC meets eight times a year on a Friday over lunch (usually the 4th Friday of the month). Lunch time discussions of the most topical transportation issues in the GTA are always lively, informative, frank and collegial.
The Coordinator acts as liaison between the GTTC and its members, and also provides administrative and logístical support to the Board of Directors
Key responsibilities include:
- answering inquiries
- providing information
- preparing and disseminating communication activities as required
- assisting in searching for meeting venues (if required)
- maintaining membership records
- setting up new accounts
- membership renewal:
- sending invoices to each member
- contacting potential new members
- following up on payments
- send receipts to members
- depositing cheques - all payments made online since 2022.
Other responsibilities include:
Meetings:
- setup new event on website
- prepare and schedule MailChimp meeting announcement
- export meeting registrants list from website
- check list to ensure that any members’ alternate information is recorded
- follow up with inquiries for guests
- send meeting link to registrants
- Send UberEats vouchers individually to each ‘remote’ registrant
- in-person meetings (8/year):
- prepare name tags
- prepare registration list
- order lunch and pay caterer
- ensure that order has arrived and lunch is set up
- check in attendees
- take guest payments and provide receipts
Website:
- pay for account and domain
- maintain site
- add member’s information
- schedule new events
- upload presentations
- post updates as required (e.g. announcements, year-end from the Chair)
Financial:
- Prepare spreadsheet of bank debits and credits
- Prepare year-end financial statement
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
