Established in 1996, the Building Trades Members Assistance Program is a non-profit organization that provides mental health counselling to unionized tradespeople in the construction industry and their families. We pride ourselves in using a human-first approach in the provision of our services; we are responsive and compassionate in all we do. We are seeking an experienced, proficient, and dedicated administration professional to join our team.

We can accommodate full-time or part-time employment as desired. The planned shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM_**or**_ Monday-Thursday, 2 PM-6 PM, Friday 10 AM-2 PM. This is an in-person position, as many functions and duties cannot be completed remotely.

**Primary Role Responsibilities**:

- Providing general support to members and staff.
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, payroll tax remittance, and monthly reconciliation. Understanding and meeting all bookkeeping compliance requirements.
- Creating expense reports to account for business spending.
- Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Assisting in data entry and records management.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments and meetings.
- Answering the questions of affiliate Unions regarding their billing and payments.
- Answering calls from clients for approximately two hours each day.

**Education and Experience**:
Previous experience (5+ years) in a bookkeeping role using accounting software - knowledge of Sage is an asset.

Diploma/degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
