PROFIL DU CANDIDAT

Nous recherchons un responsable des transports expérimenté pour rejoindre notre équipe et superviser une division dédiée aux activités d'importation par voie aérienne ainsi que l'orientation stratégique globale de son département. Le candidat retenu devra faire preuve d'une compréhension approfondie de la gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et de la logistique, en particulier dans le domaine du fret aérien. PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

Le gestionnaire de transport est responsable d'un service qui planifie et supervise les expéditions aériennes, programme les itinéraires, suit les commandes, assure le stockage et la distribution appropriés des produits et veille à un contrôle précis des coûts et des recettes. Il surveille les coûts de transport, tient des registres et veille au respect des réglementations en matière d'expédition. Il gère l'ensemble des opérations de fret aérien à l'importation, y compris les politiques, les procédures, les objectifs et les performances. Le chef de service collabore également avec l'équipe de direction pour développer et définir la vision de l'orientation du service.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are seeking an experienced transportation leader to join our team and oversee a division dedicated to air import shipment activities as well as the overall strategic direction of their department. As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management and logistics. In particular in the area of airfreight. You would also demonstrate being at ease working various transportation scenarios in a demanding, fast paced environment that is enthusiastically devoted to customer satisfaction.

Your sense of urgency, mission mindset, attention to detail and strategic planning skills will be crucial in ensuring that your department meet the needs of our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A transportation manager is responsible for a department that plans and supervises air shipments, schedules routes, tracks orders, ensures proper storage and distribution of products and looks after accurate cost and revenue controls. They monitor transportation costs, maintain records, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. You will manage all air import freight operations including policies, procedures, objectives, and performance. The department manager also collaborates with the leadership team to develop and set the vision for the department’s direction.

  • Proven experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of transport activities, in particular airfreight.
  • Ability to supervise and develop a team
  • Thorough knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
  • Strong business development and account management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant field is a plus
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
