About the Company

A global leader in energy management and smart grid solutions is expanding its presence in Canada and is seeking a Sales Executive to drive market growth in Eastern Canada. This role offers the opportunity to work with major utilities and energy providers to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that optimize grid efficiency and sustainability.

Position Overview

This is a true hunter role for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on prospecting, winning new business, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in solution sales, with a strong ability to open doors, engage decision-makers, and close complex deals.

This individual will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, aggressively pursuing leads, and securing long-term relationships with key players in the Quebec and Eastern Canadian markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hunt for new business opportunities, focusing on utilities and energy providers across Quebec and Eastern Canada.
  • Develop a strong pipeline by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, including RFP responses, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (engineering, product, and marketing) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to strategically position the company’s solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to network and uncover new leads.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in solution sales, with a track record of hunting and closing new business.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, open new accounts, and drive revenue growth.
  • Fluent in French and English – essential for engaging clients in Quebec and surrounding provinces.
  • Strong ability to navigate long sales cycles and engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% within Eastern Canada.
  • Experience selling into utilities, smart grid, energy management, or industrial technology sectors is a strong plus.
