Regional Sales Representative – MDA (Quebec)

About The Position


This is not a 9 to 5, office-based role, it is a position for a person with an entrepreneurial spirt that loves to have fun at work. We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive and develop relationships with strategic accounts consisting of key luxury appliance retailers, designers and the building community across Ontario and Quebec. The position will report to and receive established Key Performance targets form the Head of Sales – MDA/General Manager. This position will develop relationships with strategic accounts primarily consisting of regional and as needed national luxury retailers of appliances. Will act as an advocate and resource to the designers, within the territory. The Regional Sales Manager will be focused on ensuring that the product offering, and program is tailored to the accounts needs, but is also an active member of the national sales team identifying gaps and developing solutions. 


Job Description


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new sales channels and partners
  • Manage a group of Key Accounts (in a geographic area)
  • Coordinate all sales activities, including business reviews and monthly sales forecasts.
  • Foster positive relationships with key trade partners at all organizational levels.
  • Build market presence by locating, developing, relationships with key industry players such as designers, developers and cabinetry trades.
  • Develop and aid in the implementation of programs which improve customer experience and build brand loyalty.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of company products, positioning and competitive environment to maintain brand agility and aspirations.
  • Create and deliver presentations on the company strategy and products tailored to meet the trade partners’ objectives.
  • Advocate for trade and industry partners, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Meet and/or exceed key performance targets as well as brand presence.
  • Support ongoing training and product knowledge to trade and industry partners.
  • Attend and represent SMEG Canada at trade partners and industry events as a brand ambassador and advocate
  • Actively support colleagues and have a “roll-up the sleeves” attitude
  • Responsible to help managing colleagues’ territories when coverage is needed
  • Other duties as needed.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Field Representative or Sales Manager in Major domestic appliances.
  • Ability to solve problems and build strong relationships with key partners.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand trends and perform market analysis.
  • Superior verbal and written communication, independent time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective presentation and sales skills
  • Time-management expertise with the confidence to say "No" when necessary
  • Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekends on infrequent occasions to support trade activities.
  • Expectations to travel 40-60% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, own vehicle for regular account visits.
  • Need to have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • French speaking an asset.


Education or Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or relevant combined experience.

 Or

  • 7+ years of relatable knowledge to sell in the premium luxury brand landscape of Major domestic appliances.

À propos du poste

Il ne s'agit pas d'un poste de bureau de 9h à 17h, c'est un poste pour une personne dotée d'un esprit d'entreprise qui aime s'amuser au travail. Nous recherchons un directeur régional des ventes pour piloter et développer des relations avec des comptes stratégiques composés de principaux détaillants d'électroménagers de luxe, de designers et de la communauté du bâtiment à travers le Québec. Le poste relèvera du chef des ventes – MDA/directeur général et recevra les objectifs de performance clés établis. Ce poste développera des relations avec des comptes stratégiques composés principalement de détaillants d'électroménagers de luxe régionaux et, selon les besoins, nationaux. Agir à titre de défenseur et de ressource auprès des concepteurs, sur le territoire. Le directeur régional des ventes veillera à ce que l'offre de produits et le programme soient adaptés aux besoins des comptes, mais sera également un membre actif de l'équipe de vente nationale identifiant les lacunes et développant des solutions.

Prospecter et qualifier de nouveaux canaux de vente et partenaires

Gérer un groupe de Grands Comptes (sur une zone géographique)

Coordonner toutes les activités de vente, y compris les revues commerciales et les prévisions de ventes mensuelles.

Favoriser des relations positives avec les principaux partenaires commerciaux à tous les niveaux organisationnels.

Établir une présence sur le marché en localisant et en développant des relations avec des acteurs clés de l'industrie tels que des designers, des promoteurs et des ébénistes.

Développer et aider à la mise en œuvre de programmes qui améliorent l'expérience client et renforcent la fidélité à la marque.

Acquérir une connaissance approfondie des produits, du positionnement et de l'environnement concurrentiel de l'entreprise pour maintenir l'agilité et les aspirations de la marque.

Créer et réaliser des présentations sur la stratégie de l’entreprise et les produits adaptés pour répondre aux objectifs des partenaires commerciaux.

Défendre les partenaires commerciaux et industriels, répondre aux préoccupations et identifier les opportunités d'amélioration.

Atteindre et/ou dépasser les objectifs de performance clés ainsi que la présence de la marque.

Soutenir la formation continue et la connaissance des produits pour les partenaires commerciaux et industriels.

Assister et représenter SMEG Canada auprès des partenaires commerciaux et des événements de l'industrie en tant qu'ambassadeur et défenseur de la marque.

Soutenez activement vos collègues et adoptez une attitude « retrousser les manches ».

Responsable d’aider à gérer les territoires des collègues lorsqu’une couverture est nécessaire

Compétences et qualifications requises


Expérience professionnelle avérée en tant que gestionnaire de comptes, gestionnaire de comptes clés, représentant sur le terrain ou directeur des ventes dans le secteur des gros appareils électroménagers.

Capacité à résoudre des problèmes et à établir des relations solides avec des partenaires clés.

Fort sens des affaires et capacité à comprendre les tendances et à effectuer des analyses de marché.

Communication verbale et écrite supérieure, gestion indépendante du temps et compétences organisationnelles

Compétences efficaces en matière de présentation et de vente

Expertise en gestion du temps avec la confiance nécessaire pour dire « non » lorsque cela est nécessaire

Horaire flexible pour travailler le soir et le week-end à des occasions peu fréquentes afin de soutenir les activités commerciales.

Attentes de voyager 40 à 60 % du temps.

Doit avoir un permis de conduire valide et posséder un véhicule pour les visites régulières du compte.

Doit avoir la capacité de voyager au niveau national et international selon les besoins.

Parler français un atout.
