*Our client is a Toronto-based, full services marketing agency that delivers high-performing public relations programs, digital marketing solutions, experiential marketing campaigns and shopper marketing solutions to their clients.

**This position is hybrid, 2 days per week in office (full agency is in on Wednesdays and the other day is your choice.

We are seeking an experienced Account Director with a strong background in Shopper Marketing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading client relationships, developing and executing shopper marketing strategies, and driving business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker that's also a doer (and not afraid to dig in and do the work). This person will have excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of shopper behaviour, and a proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns. You're be able to share how you've implemented shopper marketing tactics in recent roles and how you drove sales in-aisle, POP and in-store purchase. You're not only a great client relationship builder but a strong project manager with retail skills. It's a bonus if you have CPG experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • You're the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Understand client goals, objectives, and challenges, and provide strategic recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Manage client expectations, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • You'll develop and implement shopper marketing strategies that align with client objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities in the shopper marketing landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling marketing campaigns that engage shoppers and enhance brand loyalty.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the agency's client portfolio.
  • Develop and present compelling proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Develop and manage budgets for client projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor project financials, including billing and invoicing, to ensure profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven Shopper Marketing experience is a MUST.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in shopper marketing, account management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of shopper behaviour, retail environments, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM systems, analytics platforms, and project management tools.
