Senior Shopper Marketing Account Manager

About the Role:
Our client is a prominent marketing agency located in Toronto, specializing in delivering impactful public relations initiatives, digital marketing strategies, experiential marketing projects, and shopper marketing solutions tailored to their diverse clientele.
Position Overview:
This hybrid role requires you to be in the office two days a week, with Wednesdays being a mandatory in-office day. We are on the lookout for a seasoned Account Director with extensive expertise in Shopper Marketing. The successful candidate will spearhead client relationships, craft and implement shopper marketing strategies, and drive significant business growth. This position demands a strategic mind that is also hands-on, willing to engage in the execution of tasks. Exceptional communication skills, a profound understanding of shopper behavior, and a history of managing successful marketing campaigns are essential. You should be prepared to discuss your recent experiences in implementing shopper marketing tactics and how you successfully influenced in-aisle and in-store purchases. A strong project management background, coupled with retail expertise, is crucial. Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison for key clients, nurturing robust relationships and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Comprehend client objectives, challenges, and aspirations, providing strategic insights to address their needs.
- Oversee client expectations, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring projects are executed on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Design and implement shopper marketing strategies that align with client goals and stimulate sales growth.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities within the shopper marketing domain.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging marketing campaigns that resonate with shoppers and foster brand loyalty.
- Promote a collaborative and positive workplace culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to broaden the agency's client base.
- Create and present persuasive proposals and pitches to potential clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape to pinpoint potential growth areas.
- Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor project financials, including billing and invoicing, to guarantee profitability.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in Shopper Marketing is essential.
- A minimum of 6-8 years in shopper marketing, account management, or a related field, showcasing a proven track record of success.
- Strong grasp of shopper behavior, retail environments, and the CPG industry.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
- Robust project management skills, capable of multitasking and overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM systems, analytics platforms, and project management applications.
