Job Description
The House of Commons Human Resources Services is currently looking to staff various Senior HR Consultant positions.
The Senior HR Consultant is responsible for shaping and implementing the service delivery model for Members’ HR Services, including supporting HR programs and processes. This role involves building and maintaining client-partner relationships with Members and their offices, delivering customized HR services tailored to individual needs, and creating core HR programs applicable to all parliamentary clients with common interests. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate a client-centered approach in supporting an HR service model that is characterized by flexibility, adaptability and out-of-the-box thinking, without constraints from a legislated HR framework for parliamentarians, but based on the best principles and practices of modern HR management. Additionally, the Senior HR Consultant offers expert advice on complex HR and labour relations cases and issues, prioritizing the protection of clients' careers, reputations, and the institution's integrity.

Education:
- University degree in human resource management, business administration, organizational development or labour relations OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Experience:
- Broad experience in managing or leading HR services delivery to executives or senior officials;
- Broad experience in fostering trust relationships and building business relationships with senior officials;
- Broad experience in building partnerships with clients and stakeholders, creating business opportunities, and promoting services;
- Comprehensive experience researching and providing sound advice on the resolution of complex and sensitive HR issues and complaints;
- In-depth and extensive knowledge of human resource management concepts, theories and principles across multiple fields of specialization (e.g. recruitment/selection; labour relations; training/development; strategic HR planning).
