Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Server Supervisor for our Highwayman Pub located in South Surrey, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Bar Manager, responsibilities for this position include:

  • Lead the team when there is no manager on duty.
  • Count daily cash occasionally.
  • Assist with cash duties, inventory, and dishes as needed.
  • Assist with guest and vendor issues.
  • Provide conflict resolution and support to both guests and team when required.
  • Ensure all discounts and promos are authorized and approved.
  • Communicate with the managers on shift events and flow of the team members.
  • Take ownership to ensure the pub remains neat and tidy.
  • Work the bar and serve to understand the entire floor operation.
  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in the Food Service Industry and:

  • Previous Shift Leader experience is an asset.
  • Valid serving it right certificate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.
  • Able to work varying shifts including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • This position is based at the Highwayman Pub, though it may require travel to other locations as business needs arise.
