Job Title: Server Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Server Supervisor to join our team at the Highwayman Pub in South Surrey, BC.

Job Summary:

The Server Supervisor will be responsible for leading the team when there is no manager on duty, counting daily cash, and assisting with cash duties, inventory, and dishes as needed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing conflict resolution and support to both guests and team members, ensuring all discounts and promos are authorized and approved, and communicating with managers on shift events and flow of team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team when there is no manager on duty
  • Count daily cash
  • Assist with cash duties, inventory, and dishes as needed
  • Provide conflict resolution and support to both guests and team members
  • Ensure all discounts and promos are authorized and approved
  • Communicate with managers on shift events and flow of team members
  • Take ownership to ensure the pub remains neat and tidy
  • Ability to work the bar and serve to understand the entire floor operation
  • Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous Shift Leader experience is an asset
  • Valid serving it right certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external guests in a polite and engaging manner
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
  • Able to work varying shifts including afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • This position is based at the Highwayman Pub, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
