Our client in south Etobicoke is in need of an Inventory Control Coordinator . This is a food production facility and preference will be given to those with related experience.

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory processes, contributing to the efficient and improvement process need to run the daily operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Managing all inventory including finish product, WIP, ingredient and packaging, as well as returns/damages.
Coordinating activities required for month end inventory; prepare reports for finance department.
Updating all online inventory records (daily/weekly/monthly), ensuring 100% accuracy.
Monitoring inventory levels and planning delivery schedules
Utilize production systems and software to compile reports using past data and forecast upcoming needs and inventory planning
Conduct physical inventory counts as well as manage supply sources to support manufacturing and anticipated demand
Follow instructions as they relate to product and label requirements
Maintain order of warehouse to ensure health and safety, and efficient and timely inventory and accurate information and records.
Work as a back up for production scheduler.
Any other job assigned by management

Discipline and knowledge to follow recipes accurately and in volume (including measurement and weighing of ingredients and rotation of products in coolers).

Relay problems that arise with inventory product, ingredients and related processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience / Education:
Post-secondary education
One to two years experience in business, supply chain, production or manufacturing functions, food manufacturing desirable
Good arithmetic and computer knowledge

Abilities:
Detail-oriented
Analytical skills
Organization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Database management skills
Strong mathematical knowledge
Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, up to 23 Kgs
Physical Demands (Frequency: 80%): Reaching, Bending, Standing, Carrying

WORKING CONDITIONS
Bakery environment - may be hot during the summer months
Must wear personal protective equipment as required ( e.g. hair nets, gloves, aprons, and closed toe shoes)
Working within assigned schedule and time constraints in order to complete assigned tasks

Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift with Saturdays and OT as needed

Pay rate: up to $22 per hour, based on experience

Candidates must have a clear criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time
