Position Overview:

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels through effective physical inventory practices. This role is crucial in ensuring that any discrepancies are thoroughly investigated in alignment with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Address and process inventory adjustment requests promptly.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for inventory variances, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Utilize available tools, including ERP systems, to communicate with various internal departments such as Category Management, Operations, and Accounting.
  • Generate and share inventory reports to support product integrity and traceability.
  • Effectively communicate company objectives and initiatives to stakeholders through organized meetings and written correspondence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to gather necessary information and meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication through various channels, including reports, emails, and presentations.
  • Audit processes to identify errors affecting inventory accuracy and recommend improvements.
  • Propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste within the distribution operations.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business or Inventory Management preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in inventory management, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Navision, is an asset.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for a significant portion of the shift.

Working Environment:
The role is based in a refrigerated warehouse setting, requiring frequent data entry and interaction with various operational areas. Flexibility to travel between locations may be necessary based on business needs.
