The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels through systematic practices while conducting thorough investigations into any discrepancies in line with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Address and process inventory adjustment requests promptly.
- Perform root-cause analysis and documentation for inventory variances.
- Utilize available tools, including ERP systems, to investigate discrepancies in collaboration with various internal departments.
- Generate and distribute inventory reports to maintain product integrity and traceability.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers and vendors, to align on company objectives.
- Engage proactively with colleagues to gather necessary information and meet deadlines.
- Audit processes to identify and rectify errors impacting inventory accuracy.
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the distribution operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business or Inventory Management preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in inventory management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and prioritize effectively.
Familiarity with Application Support is advantageous.
Experience in the produce industry is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with intermediate skills required.
ERP System Experience:
Knowledge of Navision is beneficial.
Understanding of warehouse practices and measurement techniques is essential.
Strong mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail are necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain mobile throughout the shift.
Working Environment:
Refrigerated warehouse setting with office-based responsibilities.
Travel between locations may be required based on operational needs.
