Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create innovative menus
- Supervise food preparation and cooking activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in managing kitchen staff and delegating tasks effectively
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Contribute to the development of new dishes and recipes
- Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and presentation techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant management procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
