Job Title: Sous Chef

Join EDOKKO JAPANESE FOOD as a Sous Chef and take on a challenging role that requires leadership, culinary expertise, and attention to detail. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supervising activities, creating new recipes, and training staff in food preparation and handling.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Ensure high-quality food production and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to plan menus and specials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Physically demanding, with frequent standing and lifting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in the kitchen.
