About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at EDOKKO JAPANESE FOOD. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, working closely with our culinary team to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with our chefs to create innovative and delicious dishes that showcase our Japanese cuisine.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.
  • Work closely with our management team to ensure that our kitchen is running efficiently and effectively, and that our customers are consistently satisfied with their dining experience.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Physical stamina to work in a demanding kitchen environment.
