About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Frankie's Italian Kitchen & Bar Winnipeg Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Culinary Leadership: Plan and prepare menus that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Staff Development: Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Certification and Compliance: Ensure that all staff members hold the necessary certifications, such as Safe Food Handling, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian kitchen.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
