Avenue Road is a luxury furniture retailer that offers classic-contemporary designs with timeless style and enduring quality. We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Sales to join our Toronto sales team.

About the Role

This dynamic role interfaces with all areas of the business to ensure a premium client experience. The successful candidate will initially serve as the Associate Director, with the expectation of transitioning to the Director position within 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and strengthen opportunities with leading A+D, commercial, hospitality, and retail firms across Ontario and Eastern Canada.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Owning and managing an established book of business, particularly focused on Contract clients.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities to expand Avenue Road's market presence.
  • On-going sales monitoring and analysis.
  • Developing new business development and retention strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Manage daily showroom operations.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management.
  • Represent Avenue Road at industry events and networking opportunities.
Requirements
  • Furniture contract sales experience (10+ years).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development, preferably in the luxury or contract furniture industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and market trends.
  • Excellent computer skills in Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word.
  • Experience with CRM and inventory/database systems.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
