Job Summary:

The Regional Manager - Human Resources will be responsible for leading the delivery of human resources services for the Labrador Region. This includes managing the operations of the region, providing advice and guidance on policies and programs, recruitment and selection, professional development, attendance management, benefits and pension administration, employee relations, occupational health and safety, and disability management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of human resources services for the Labrador Region
  • Manage the operations of the region, including performing a generalist role as an advisor to management and employees
  • Provide advice and guidance on policies and programs, recruitment and selection, professional development, attendance management, benefits and pension administration, employee relations, occupational health and safety, and disability management
  • Collaborate with other divisions as required to achieve the goals of the region
  • Provide strategic support to the Director of Schools, including Nunatsiavut Government funding

Requirements:

  • Management and supervisory experience
  • Well-developed communication, organizational, facilitation, planning, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Superior conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet various deadlines
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Education:

An undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or equivalent, supplemented by progressively responsible and related experience.
