Job Title: Social Worker Senior

Join our team at Primary Health Care Services as a Social Worker Senior, where you will play a vital role in providing counseling and support to bereaved adults and children.

About the Role

Under the direction of a Primary Health Care Manager, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and provide counseling services for individuals experiencing grief and loss. As a senior practitioner, you will act as a resource for other professionals and provide leadership in bereavement care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement counseling services for bereaved adults and children
  • Provide direct and indirect support to clients within an interdisciplinary context
  • Act as a resource for other professionals in bereavement care
  • Collaborate with the Primary Health Care team to ensure a respectful and collaborative relationship with other employees
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree
  • Minimum of two years of recent recognized clinical experience with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities in the application of principles of palliation and bereavement
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-motivated manner
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Leadership skills, workload management, staff development, and skills related to resource coordination
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current practicing registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including day and evening shifts
