Inside Sales Manager

Join our team as an Inside Sales Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic thinking, leadership, and a passion for sales and customer service.

About the Role
  • Oversee the daily management of the Inside Sales & Customer Service staff, ensuring successful achievement of departmental objectives and compliance with company and departmental policies.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental communications with other internal departments, reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute market strategy within the Greater Toronto Area to achieve sales targets, leveraging your knowledge of the Plumbing & Heating industry.
  • Manage the Customer Service team, tracking key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing productivity-enhancing measures such as training and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with product management to guide pricing initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Represent our products in the marketplace by attending trade shows and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain an effective inside quoting process, including job qualification, win/loss analysis, and customer insight.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Product Managers to prioritize work and resolve customer-related issues.
  • Communicate and monitor staff compliance with policies and procedures, recommending and implementing actions to improve results.
  • Contribute to establishing departmental requirements, ensuring expense decisions are made and providing justification or support.
  • Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance management, leading and monitoring training initiatives for CS team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Communications (or related field).
  • 3+ years of inside sales and/or customer service management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Plumbing & Heating industry, with diversified product knowledge and understanding.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Prior project management experience.
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred.
  • Direct reports: 5 – 10 (Customer Service and Inside Sales employees).
Work Environment
  • Work in an office environment.
  • May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Travel Requirements
  • Occasional trips to Distribution Centers, Sales Agents, Customers, and USA Offices – Up to 10% of time.
