Job Title: Support Services Manager

Aramark Canada is seeking a highly skilled Support Services Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional food and facilities services to a healthcare facility in the Vancouver area.

Job Summary

The Support Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the food and facilities contract at the site, ensuring compliance with Aramark's standards, regulatory agencies, and client requirements. This role requires a strong leader who can establish effective working relationships with other departments, manage performance, and drive employee development and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for residents, visitors, and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Interact with Client Management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization.
  • Provide overall direction and manage performance for all Supervisors and front-line employees.
  • Direct, staff, and train food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
  • Develop operational component forecasts and explain variances.
  • Responsible for ordering, inventory, menu development, and production planning.
  • Maintain and verify employee work schedules through web-based payroll tracking systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Membership to CSNM is required.
  • Basic housekeeping experience or full EVS experience is an asset.
  • Menu management, balancing a budget, and working within assigned operational costs/budget.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience managing operations with financial and operational responsibility.
  • Computer savvy with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and support staff.
  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client, and Aramark information.
