Healthcare Support Services Supervisor

Aramark Canada is seeking a Facilities Support Manager with a strong background in Food Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance Services. This role is essential for managing operations within a Healthcare Facility.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Facilities Support Manager will oversee the food and facilities contract at the location, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to the standards set by Aramark, regulatory bodies, and clients. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with various departments to ensure a cohesive food service experience for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Guarantee compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety regulations.
• Engage with Client Management to uphold effective client and customer relations, including regular check-ins to identify opportunities for service expansion.
• Provide leadership and direction to Supervisors and front-line staff, focusing on employee development, engagement, and adherence to human resource policies.
• Lead, staff, and train the food service team on food presentation, quality assurance, cost management, and cash handling practices.
• Develop operational forecasts and clarify any variances, managing the accounting functions for the component.
• Oversee ordering, inventory management, menu development, and production planning.
• Monitor and verify employee work schedules using web-based payroll systems.
• Assist the Food Service Supervisor with ordering, inventory, menu development, and production planning.
• Ensure accuracy in accounting documentation through online systems.
• Adhere to union seniority and scheduling policies.
• Follow financial projections closely.
• Cultivate and maintain a strong leadership team.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
• Membership in CSNM is mandatory.
• Basic experience in housekeeping or comprehensive EVS experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in menu management, budget balancing, and operating within assigned financial parameters.
• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in managing operations with financial and operational responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, customers, and support staff.
• Experience with P&L accountability and/or contract-managed services is desirable.
• Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to handle confidential information regarding employees, clients, and Aramark.
• A mandatory background check is required for all qualified candidates.
