About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at EllisDon. As a MEIT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the Mechanical, Electrical and Information Technology scopes of work for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in conjunction with the Project Superintendent.
  • Billings and Cost Management: Prepare and submit accurate and timely billings for mechanical and electrical components of the job.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure accurate quality reporting, material and labour costs, and compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Change Management: Review and approve changes to mechanical and electrical components, ensuring they meet standards and are complete.
  • Communication and Liaison: Provide expert advice, report on project delivery and performance, and maintain detailed records of site infrastructure, plant, and equipment.
  • Project Meetings and Coordination: Plan and lead project meetings, determine project status, and solve complex technical issues.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as a focal point for the end client on all aspects of operational services.
  • Workload Management: Continuously review and optimize department workload to achieve cost-effective and quality services.
  • Commissioning and Training: Manage the overall commissioning program of building systems, including coordination, testing, verification, and training.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8-10 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Skills: Proven experience with maintenance and life-cycle budgeting, technical competence in understanding statutory and mandatory compliances and legislation, and ability to prioritize and manage workload with limited supervision.
