Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide leadership and expertise in promoting excellence in nursing practice, education, and research.
About the Role: The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide leadership in promoting excellence in nursing practice, education, and research. This includes:
- Providing leadership in promoting excellence in nursing practice, education, and research.
- Addressing key clinical issues and program priorities through clinical practice, consultation, education, research, and support of systems.
- Providing leadership and direction related to nursing practice, standards, program development and evaluation, quality and research.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and expertise in promoting excellence in nursing practice, education, and research.
- Developing and implementing clinical practice guidelines and standards.
- Providing education and training to nursing staff on best practices and research findings.
- Conducting research and evaluating its impact on nursing practice.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum five years of recent clinical experience in a variety of nursing roles.
- Masters of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing with graduate course work in research methods.
- Active registration on the register of practicing nurses.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the healthcare team.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
