Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - Part-time Permanent

Join our team at Southbridge Care Homes, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to enhance the effective management and quality of nursing practice in our long-term care facilities.

About the Role:
  • Provide exceptional resident care while following established protocols and maintaining physicians' orders.
  • Observe, report, and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate remedial health measures as needed.
  • Organize and direct functions and activities related to the provision of care to residents.
  • Assist in the management of the work of nursing and personal care staff.
  • Train and develop new staff, referring concerns to the Director of Care.
Requirements:
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • A passion for caring for seniors and a serving heart.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, with excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the "big picture".
