Job SummaryAs a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in our Inclusive Recreation Programs, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to participants in various programs, ensuring their health and well-being are met.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to participants in Inclusive Recreation programs and regular recreation programs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of participants
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Completion of 4-year B.Sc.N. degree or 2-3 year RN diploma or RPN diploma
- Proof of current license as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in Special Needs/Pediatric/Rehab/Community
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) current with College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
- Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
- AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
- Standard nursing practices
- Legislation protecting special needs clients and populations
- Client care
- Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures
- City of Ottawa and Parks & Recreation Policies and Procedures
