Director of Human Resources

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR team and oversee all HR operations in our manufacturing facilities. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive and productive work environment, while driving business results.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to management and department managers
  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, promoting a fair and respectful work environment
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and promote company culture
  • Assist in disciplinary issues and terminations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives, driving business results and improving employee engagement
  • Play a key role in performance management, ensuring accurate and fair evaluations
  • Manage workplace accident claims and extended leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support training initiatives and documentation, ensuring employees have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Implement and enforce company policies, ensuring a safe and respectful work environment
  • Manage social events and workplace health and safety initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven experience in HR, with a strong background in manufacturing and labor laws
  • Fluent bilingualism (English and French) and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of employment and labor laws, as well as HR policies and procedures
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
