About the Role

As a Team Assistant, you will provide administrative support to a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive prompt and effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators
  • Process new referrals, orders for services, supplies and equipment
  • Manage confidential patient records
  • Enter, update and maintain patient data in the electronic database
  • Answer telephone inquiries from patients, families and service providers
  • Provide back-up support to other positions, as required
Requirements
  • A college diploma in the health or social services field, or business/office administration
  • 2+ years' related office experience
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills
  • Proficient with database software, MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and office administrative procedures
  • Knowledge of services provided by Ontario Health atHome
  • Ability to speak French or another second language
