The City of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Instructor to join our team. As an Assistant Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality swimming lessons and promoting public education on drowning prevention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the instruction of learn-to-swim levels as assigned.
  • Promote public education on drowning prevention.
  • Ensure safety of program participants and practices a preventative approach to safety.
  • Practice appropriate public relations while enforcing facility rules.
  • Respond to accidents and incidents involving patrons as required.
  • Complete light cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of forms and records.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children is an asset.
  • Bronze Cross certification.
  • High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development certification.
  • National Lifeguard (NL) certification.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED certification.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive hourly rate of $16.55 per hour.
  • Flexible scheduling with hours that may include evenings, weekdays, or weekends.
