Seeking an experienced Lead UX Researcher, CX Designer, or Design Strategist to enhance CX design practices at Scotiabank.

As a Group Manager, CX Design, you will be part of the Design Community of Practice leading a team of CX practitioners to conduct research, develop design strategies, and create service designs to support the continuous enhancement of Scotiabank's digital products.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching for a team
  • Conduct diverse research methods both remotely and in-person
  • Promote inclusiveness in principle and practice
  • Ensure usability testing for product accessibility
  • Lead workshops to align team consensus on research and customer needs
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to drive customer-focused design
  • Engage in project kickoffs, design critique sessions, and ideation
  • Employ a 'continuous discovery' approach to inform product development
  • Generate insights to inspire innovation
  • Act as a thought leader in CX design
  • Advocate for user-centric product development
  • Contribute to best practices discussions for customer-centric software development
  • Possibility of travel involvement

Requirements:

  • B.A/B.S. in a relevant field such as HCI, psychology, or sociology
  • 5+ years' experience in product research, usability evaluation, and design thinking
  • Experience with inclusive research and UX research involving accessibility
  • Proficiency in service design and design thinking methodologies
  • Strong collaboration skills with various disciplines in product development
  • Experience in planning and executing research activities
  • Comfortable making design recommendations based on research
  • Desire to experiment with new methods
  • Experience influencing teams towards user-centered practices
  • Passion for solving complex design challenges collaboratively

Nice to have skills:

  • Conversational Spanish proficiency
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Engagement in research-related conferences or publications
  • Understanding impact measurement of research and design
  • Teaching experience in research methods
  • Exploration of innovative recruitment strategies
  • Utilization of empathy labs in UX research
