WEISHAUPT DESIGN GROUP is a portfolio of businesses dedicated to design, headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Born from a desire to connect, curate, and cultivate meaningful relationships between makers and design lovers. This includes retail operations, manufacturing, distribution, and art concept, all servicing the luxury residential and contract markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide status reports of project milestones and identify risks with the potential to impact budget and schedule
  • Work closely with consultant teams and contractors throughout the various stages of projects from concept development through to construction completion, including deficiency reviews and reporting
  • Assist in the review of consultant documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Correspond and follow up with trades/suppliers
  • Coordinate with other internal departments such as Purchasing and Logistics to ensure timely delivery of ownersupplied product
  • Track all project management purchasing with assistance of internal Procurement team
  • Review and coordinate payment of invoices, and process through internal Accounting team
  • Monitor and troubleshoot inconsistencies in invoicing and budgeting with internal Accounting team
  • Help identify potential problems that may occur during the construction process which were not identified in the final design and coordinate with the Designers and Construction team to find a solution
  • Administer regular maintenance schedules of all WDG properties with preferred network of suppliers and trades

  • A strong eye for design details and the ability to assist in making designdriven decisions
  • Good understanding of design and construction process and requirements
  • The ability to multitask, organize and prioritize
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objective
  • Detailoriented
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Able to lead discussions with stakeholders including designers, contractors, trades and suppliers
  • Proven problem solving abilities
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work effectively independently and within a team.

Requirements:

  • A degree/ diploma in Design (Architecture or Interior Design) or Construction Project Management from a recognized institution
  • 23 years' experience working in a development, planning, design or construction environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical Skills: Bluebeam, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project)
  • AutoCAD/Revit/Sketchup skills are an asset
  • Proven ability to read construction documents, schedules and specifications
  • Experience with construction sites and ability to address on site construction issues
  • Basic project management skills and knowledge of Building Codes
  • Glicense and access to a vehicle
