We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relational Security Officer to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our Integrated Protection Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol buildings and grounds to ensure the security and safety of individuals and property.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, including physical altercations and medical emergencies.
- Investigate and resolve security-related situations using non-violent interventions.
- Provide security escort services for staff and patients as required.
- Participate in photo identification and security system programs.
- Operate various security systems, including CCTV and access control.
- Provide pre/post flight safety inspections of heliports.
- Liaise with fire, police, and other community officials regarding security and emergency response.
- Provide First Aid services and maintain a daily log of events.
- Current BC Security Guard License.
- OFA Level II Certification.
- Certification of Training Completion in Advanced Security Training.
- One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current, valid B.C. Class 5 vehicle license.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to organize work.
