In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations for Babcock Canada's Marine Warehouses supporting the Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC).
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders with superior judgment in a dynamic environment.
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capabilities and operational effectiveness.
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient workflow and high-density storage capacity using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Manage project and corporate risks related to warehousing and logistics in the marine industry.
- Develop and monitor warehouse KPIs to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Promote a positive Health and Safety culture in warehouses to comply with safety standards.
- Maintain Babcock's Quality Management System and ensure process maps reflect business requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for planning, forecasting, and cost-effective inventory control.
- Supervise staff activities including goal setting and performance evaluations.
- Perform other duties as required to support business operations.
As our ideal candidate you bring:
- Minimum of ten years experience in warehouse/inventory operations.
- Experience in material management for major equipment or in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills including budget forecasting and execution.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to continuous improvement and achieving targets.
- Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Understanding of risk management processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
- Supply chain designation and security clearance are assets.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
