Job Description

Reports to: Nurse Manager
Work Model: On-Site
Grade: PU7
Wage Range: $ per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
Hours: 8 Hour Shifts
Shifts: 4 pm - 8 pm
Status: Temporary Part-Time (End Date ~ Sept 13, 2024)
Closing Date: July 4, 2024

Position Summary

The Support Partner is a valuable member of our team, playing a critical role in assisting direct patient caregivers and managing the Clinic's functionality.

Duties

  • Provides assistance to direct patient caregivers through the performance of specific activities related to the maintenance of the Clinic, including: cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing instruments
  • Setting up clinic areas;
  • Transporting X-rays, charts, etc.
  • Patients support activities
  • Environmental support activities
  • Transportation support activities
  • Other duties directly related with the proper maintenance of the Clinic
Qualifications
  • Completion of a secondary school diploma program
  • Experience with housekeeping, portering and/or unit aide
  • Evidence of ability to lift heavy objects
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Evidence of good independent initiative
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Previous Hospital experience
  • Experience in a teaching hospital environment preferred
